Hose Reels & Hydrant Valves
Servicing
When & How
Fire Equipment is generally required to be serviced annually. Our offices maintain full Fire Registers for our clients, enabling us to manage the services from year to year and send service notifications, as well as to report to our clients on completion of the service.
Certificate of Service
Every Unit (Fire Extinguisher, Hose Reel or Hydrant) is given a number and is noted on our Location List. Following the annual service, a Certificate of Service is issued, confirming the recent service as well as any recommendations that have been discussed.
SABS Accredited
We hold close relationships with the SABS, and we have built relationships with numerous inspectors within the Fire Department, they are on hand for advice and recommendations. For most urgent call-outs we are able to provide same day service.
The toughest solution
Fire Hose Reels & Hydrants are connected to main water supply. They provide a reasonably accessible, high pressure water supply and are ideal to combat fires. They are proven to be tough, durable, and resistant against abrasion, oil, fuel and a wide range of chemicals. The Duraflex Hose is resistant to heat, UV and ozone. It also has very low friction loss with low elongation. The great advantage is that it is also easy to repair.
Hose Reels
Hose reels provide water to combat Class A fire risks, with a standard fully extended hose length of 30 metres. This high-quality SABS Certified fire hose reel is supplied with a wall-mounted bracket, hose guide & durable nozzle. SANS 1086, EN694
Hydrant Hose
These hoses are attached to a Hydrant to supply a high pressure of water to extinguish a fire.
Hydrant Valves
Available in brass and cast-iron. The lay flat hose connects directly into the hydrant valve, a pipe fitting that helps to regulate, direct or control the flow of fire suppressing agent by opening, closing or partially obstructing passageways in the hose connectors. Non-return valves stop the fire supressing agent from flowing in the wrong direction.
Nozzles
These nozzles connect to the lay-flat hose, to aim, control and regulate the flow of water on a fire.
